Mandatory Candidate Requirements For SECURITY GUARD / LOSS PREVENTION


To be considered for active deployment, all applicants must possess  the following valid documentation:

Educational Requirement: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD / Grade 12) or equivalent.

 

Minimum Experience:  At least 2 years experience in Security and / or Loss Prevention.

Licensing: Valid Ontario Security Guard License and/or Private Investigator License

(Dual licensing is highly regarded as a premium asset)

 

If you are applying for Loss Prevention:

Loss Prevention & Asset Protection Track Record: Must provide a verifiable professional track record, complete with previous employer references and a strict history of ZERO false arrests / apprehensions.

Legal & Compliance: Must demonstrate a thorough operational understanding of and strict adherence to S.C.O.P.E. principles and Section 494 of the Criminal Code of Canada (Citizen's Arrest and Self-Defence frameworks).

First Aid Certification: Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C and AED certification.

Valid Smart Serve Certification - (Mandatory for all Age-Restricted Venue deployments).

Mobility Requirement: Must be able to travel within Ontario, Must have reliable transportation to and from any site, Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with a clean driving record/abstract.

Clearance: Ability to pass a comprehensive Criminal Record / Vulnerable Sector background check.



Preferred Tactical Assets (Not Mandatory, But Highly Valued);

Valid Use of Force:  Tactical Handcuffing. /  Tactical Handcuffing & Baton Certification 

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or De-escalation training.

Previous experience in Law Enforcement, Military, Close Protection, or Retail Loss Prevention.
